    Default Mallard and ducklings - Anas platyrhynchos

    I'm assuming that this is the same lot I took a week ago (same location, same number of ducklings). Mind you, there were 2 drakes hanging about this time.
    The silly thing was that they were in a lock with a boat trying to get through... wasn't easy with these little bundles scooting about. I got damn-all in the way of decent shots shots despite the closeness - it was too bright and they JUST WON'T KEEP STILL!!!!! Mind you, I was laughing my socks off as one duckling had decided that the best way to move about was backwards
