Taken at St. James park on Sunday
Wonderful - I've only ever seen them from a blurry distance, and certainly never and little 'uns.
The lake at St. James Park is really good for getting close to the birds. these were about 12 ft away.
At one part of the lake there is a mute swan nesting about 30 ft away from the path. The male was very protective and chased some greylag geese away from the area but left the coots and moorhens alone.
I never get them that close when I'm there... maybe I need to take more baths ;-)
Lovely captures Jo orgeous little ducklings
Nice shots Joe, the Egyptian Geese seem to be thriving.
