Goldfinch - Carduelis carduelis
I rarely see these in my garden despite growing Teasels especially, so I got really excited when I saw this one out my travels - not only was he there but he was out in the open. I'm a little gutted that it didn't come out better (honestly - you don't want to see it much larger)as I wasn't far away but the light was fading and I was pointing upwards with nothing to lean against. Still - better than no shot of this stunning bird!
