    Unhappy Rather sad phone box

Found this sadly dilapidated phone box in Morebattle whilst out and about last weekend. It must have been hit by a car during the severe weather up here

At a guess someone had come up the hill behind the camera, lost it on the brow of the hill and skittered into the phone box - fairly hard from the amount of damage!

Amazingly despite the fact its been knocked clean off its base the phone still worked. They dont make them like they used to!

Great find, Ross, - the modern 'open plan' phone booth!

I do hope it can be fixed. I love to see those old red telephone kiosks. Folks round the corner from us have several in their garden - though I doubt if any are in working order! They have lots of bright red pillar boxes too!

I love when I'm driving through a pretty conservation area, and I see a red telephone kiosk - or pillar box - at the side of the road.

They don't make them as sturdy as that nowadays!

It was wedged up against the wall and a grit bin which had stopped it falling over completely

That's a cracker Ross, are you sure it wasn't accidentally destroyed by yourself on the way back from the pub the night before?
