This some thing fluttered down close to me. I thought it was a leaf but on a double take I noticed the colour and walked over to find it was indeed a Coma Butterfly

Yes I did take it to day March 2cnd 2010. Along the estuary. It stayed in the same place for quie some time so I guess it was a bit lethargic

I was quite pleased
I saw a Red Admiral a few days ago. Unfortunatley I was staring out of the window of a bus at a roundabout. I think that hey are only supposed to remain here if the winter's mild.. so goodness know how it survived what is supposed to have been the coldest winter for 30 years!!!!
I was so tempted to shout "Open the door, I want to get off!!", but since it was at a busy roundabout.. and I was on the way to work I let it go
