Hiya,
Well i went to devon via the new forest and the bolderwood deer feeding area. Was a lovely day driving through the woods. Then down through the sunset to devon. Will be posting in sections so i can put pictures in different sections...
River otter, by the sea side...
This is a lovely location to go bird watching though i have and still dont have a idea of the best time to go to see birds.. Went one side they were other, then next day went other and they were otherside... Still i did enjoy watching the tide turn....
Have to say this is a lovely place, flat path on one side to walk on, with good views of the birds. Plus the bonus of the rough ground the otherside having birds and deer. Though the other side has a good walk its quite a long walk to the hide and limited sights from the hide partly due to the bushes around it. Do keep a eye out for a lamas on the route!!
Nice one Bill. Looks like you had a nice time
Topsham-
One of the best built hides ever, got to say its brilliant, even with the windows closed you can see all around the area. The amount of information is brilliant, and the help of the rspb volinteer was brilliant. Though being fussy id of put the hide somewhere else to get better pictures..
Yes. It is a lovely hide. I go there frequently. Bowling Green marsh
The hide is set back as the mashes flood a lot . so it couldn't be put an where else .
The BBC televised the Hide in s Nature's Calender prog' with Chris Packham a couple of years ago
I do too Billy. couple of weeks ago all the wigeon were right in front of the hide. Must have been at least 100
