    Cool Frozen reservoirs

    This was the Derwent Reservoir in Weardale a couple of weekends ago. The water level has risen, then the water has frozen, then its snowed heavily. On a very misty morning the far shore wasnt visible, giving this strange effect almost like the bushes are sitting in a fog bank.

    And despite all the warnings about not walking on frozen bodies of water I saw this sight at Cow Green reservoir the previous day - those footsteps went out a long way.......

    Some people don't take notice of warnngs.Do the foot prints come back.

    The Exe estuary reserve was partially frozen over here in Exmouth It has been a very col winter this year

    I havent heard of any deaths in the area so I assume they survived.

    I stood on the very edge where the ice was very thick and I would just get wet feet if it broke, and that was quite far enough out for me!
