Spotted these beauties on the way to Paice's Wood, love these old trucks, really had character.

Not sure of the manufacturers of all of these, although obviously one is a Bedford and the car is of course a Ford Corsair 2000E.

They look so sad and unloved...

Despite the rust and the condition, I suspect they will still be worth something - if anyone can find the cash to restore them.

How old do you think they might be?

Great photo opportunity, shame that V4 Corsair has been left to rot, they are quite rare these days.

Lovely shots, Rolf. It reminds me how much I like the aesthetics of older vehicles... much nicer than modern ones. But I agree with Catherine, they do look rather forlorn and unloved.

According to the DVLA licence plate enquiry site the Corsair has been off the road since March 1995

I just came across this rather appropriate poem:

My car is limping, Dolores Haze,
And the last long lap is the hardest,
And I shall be dumped where the weed decays,
And the rest is rust and stardust.
    ~ Vladimir Nabokov

Crumbs, always wondered what he wrote like, ever since "Don't stand so close to me".
