now, worzel gummidge, that was a good tv programme when i was groWing up!! why dont they bring it back for the youngsters of today?. i'm sure they'd like it too.

Here is a nice one. He had a giant doll last week I thought it was a joke so ditched it. But I see now they really are scarecrows

The first scarecrow here was at Osborne House, IoW, at the beginning of this month. The two together were at Furzey Gardens (near Lyndhurst, New Forest) last summer.

Thanks Catherine. I thought it was a butterfly. Just caught the back of it. I went along a little wooded area to get a better shot. Slipped on a roof tile covered in leaves . went straight down.........Ouch. Still I didn't damage my camera or lens
I think they're lovely they are in the allotments by the railway track there is another but it's not accessible, it is way down the track and you can only see it from the train .If I travel on the train I'll try and capture it but with a free bus pass a train ride is highly improbable;
