... yet another Robin

Despite the fact that the bare branches should show off more birds, all I can see at the moment are Robins.

We had 5 - yes, f-i-v-e Robins in the garden during the frost yesterday. They were chasing each other in a flurry round the garden - the Blue Tits were quite confused with their behaviour!

(Yes, Rolf, that one has a deformed upper bill. I DO hope it can still feed effectively. Poor wee thing.. )

Five Robins, Catherine? That must have been quite a sight, and knowing what 'awkward little beggars' they are, quite a kerfuffle
As for feeding, well hopefully he'll visit my garden and get some seeds, and shortly, some rehydrated mealworms.. that'll put feathers on his chest

It has been great for Glen (not well just now...) to sit in the conservatory and watch the birds - especially on that frosty morning when it was a bit like Bird Oxford Street here!

He was fascinated by the Robins chasing each other in their own little whirlwind, angry at the Blackbirds chasing the Song Thrush each time it appeared, and laughing at the Squirrels as they chased each other round and round the Oak tree. They spent more time doing that than eating at the two (yes TWO) nutboxes we have for them!

How lovely to have a conservatory to sit and watch the birds from, Catherine. I'd need a stool - a BIG stool to be able to sit and watch out of my window, and knowing me I'd fall off every 5 mins
