Default Swans and Cygnets at Lavell's Lake

Didn't have much luck when I popped down to Lavell's for an hour or so this afternoon, the second shot is all I saw of the Kingfisher and the first is the Swan family which did pretty much nothing for the whole of my stay. Was pretty dull by the time I left, so really didn't shoot anything else.

Well apart from a little Rabbit, which sat not far from the hide for a while, put him in the other section.

It's a pain when you go all the way to a spot and there's no action. Still, it's a lovely shot of the cygnet's feathers. As for the Kingfisher - I didn't look at the thumbnails and really burst out laughing when I saw your shot

Great shot of the Swans and Cygnets,it has a lot of impact. Shame about the Kingfisher. Are you sure that it isn't a highly trained stick insect in you second pic?

Bit of envy on my part Louise, I have never seen a Kingfisher, other than in pictures (still or moving). For someone who feels like they have been around since the Dead Sea was only sick, that's quite an admission. Nice try Rolf. One thing that always fools me.....................camera settings
