Some excellent series of shots there Joe, well done.
excellent shots joe. i remember seeing my very first black swan when i was a small boy. every year we had our family holiday in brixham, torbay. i remember, one year, going on a trip from brixham, to dawlish. it was here that i saw my first . i was only, probably, around 8 or 9 years old. it was such an unusual sight, for me, that i stuck in my memory. i may be wrong... beryl will probably put me right if i am... but isn't the black swan the town emblem for dawlish?????. anyway joe, you've stired some memories of some lovely family holidays for me.
Yes . A chap who lived in Dawlish emigrated to New Zeeland over 40 years ao and brought a couple back . (They are native to Australia) How ever they have been breading freely since, though not recognized by the RSPB as a British bird
