    First time I've seen one of these, at first glance from a distance I thought it was a very vivid Painted Lady.

    Nice Moth. Haven't seen on down this way. Though they are seen to be common in the South Wast and Wales

    Wow, striking creature. Been in the wars, though....

    I just looked it up on 'UK Moths' - and although it had a few shots, it didn't have one of the open wings... so well done you for getting that!

    Pure luck Louise, but then it's nice to get a bit of luck every now and then.

    I'm surprised I haven't seen one before, because they are so striking.
