Moon's illusion

Has any one noticed how big the moon looks? (If your not clouded over that )is
It' an illuusion and on the horizon looks even bigger. I captured this photo tis morning at 8.30. Because of where I live I can't see it when it is on the horizon. But you can see the craters and I only have 55-200mm lens
It is all to do with perseption I can't begin to explain.
I thought it would be intersting . Not wildlife but wild enough.

Lovely picture, Chocky. I had heard that it was bigger but whenever I looked there were too may clouds!!! Well, I suppose I've seen it now

Yes . It seams when low in the sky bigger it's actually an ilusion to do with perception. When you look at it againt the sky line with buildings it will look huge but up there at high noon or even at night, there is so much sky all round it, it looks smaller. That is the only way I can explain it
