Osprey - Pandion haliaetus

Some body said the Osprey had just left the scene. I waited over an hour hoping it would come back and it did albeit a little distant but it's the Osprey.
There a re a couple that visit or rather pass through every year and spend most of their time near Powderham Castle .The stay for about a week or two before moving on to Scotland and then on to Scandinavia
Having never seen one before I was quite pleased. I can say now "Yes I have seen the Osprey and captured him on camera'

Well done Beryl, apparently it usually passes (or one of them does) over Moor Green towards the end of April, would love to know how many days it takes to travel to here, as I'd make a point of going there every day.

I decided to go to Bowling Green Marsh Reserve (One of Chris Packhams favorites) just this morning. Spur of the moment thing. Really glad I did

great spot beryl! leighton moss, not too far from preston is another good stop off point. iv'e been lucky enough to see them a few times there. i've seen ospreys in scotland too. lovely birds!!

Unfortunately this is so out of the way we are lucky to get one or two but we do every year and only as I said for a few days . so I'm really pleased
