    He is so quick you don't see him grab the food. He has it in his bill when he comes out though

    Any clue as to what is the 'red' on the birds right leg Beryl ? particularly noticable in the first pic.

    I'll have a look at the others If I still have them . I didn't notice . most strange . He seemed ok .kept flying in and out and walk ok'


    Here we are . He has some on his other leg at the top.

    Noticed that when I looked earlier, but thought it was a trick of the light, it however looks like an injury of some sort. Have you got a couple of straight out of the camera crops Beryl?

    The bird is clearly injured at the top of its leg, looks quite bad too to me as you can see the blood on its feathering when you expand the last pic Beryl.

    Probably been fighting . They are all at it 4 ducks had a big scrap today and the female just sat by watching .

    Ill send them to you Rolf though those are straight crops no enhancements
