wondered what it was. I'd seen a female Tufted with white-ish round it's beak but this one look like a clown . S I thought I would look at the Scaup and there is was in the book same as my photo

Excellent Beryl and nice to see you got a picture of a Scaup. Always best to be on your guard with this duck as the female Tufted often have a white blaze at the base of the bill but never this large......well done Beryl I like this.
