    The hardest part was deciding how tight to crop the shot. Despite the great light this afternoon most of my shots were dismal. Try again tomorrow!

    Yes, I guess that with some subjects you can have too much light.

    For most of the afternoon I was using a 50mm Takumar lens and it is very soft at f1.4 and unless the focus is spot on the photo is too soft (and I even have an old-style focus screen in the 20d with the focus rings). I guess it's better suited to close ups rather than wide shots.

    The light for most of the afternoon was like this, so frustrating when most of my shots were "hmmm...".

    Super pic of the Moorhen Mark, showing the birds wierd green legs and equally wierd bill, but a delightful creature all the same as all birds are in their various ways. Nice reflection too......I like it.
