This is off the BBC News web site, but is so good I have to share it!

All official road signs in Wales are bilingual, so the local authority e-mailed its in-house translation service for the Welsh version of: "No entry for heavy goods vehicles. Residential site only".

All well and good. Sadly no-one checked the translation - which actually reads
"I am not in the office at the moment. Please send any work to be translated."




Apparently the sign was removed pdq!

Very good both of them, that's how I feel using google to translate the Portuguese bits and back on sats forum. You just never know what google is converting your answer into..

I should imagine somebody had to suffer the indignity of no sugar in their tea, I understand that is the normal council reprimand to staff for minor discretions
