ID this bird please

It might be a baby some thing . It doesn't look like a blue tit .........but?

It's a warbler of some sort, perhaps a Juvenile Firecrest, but no way of telling the size.

Here he is and he is the size of a Goldcrest. Which is what I thought he was until I zoomed in on his head.
Unsharp masked him a little

The confusing factor is the darkness of the legs.

Here's one I ran though focus magic and adjusted the colours slightly.

The problem with warblers is that they are difficult to distinguish at the best of times.

He just was not going to play the game . See the leaves they weren't big and he kept hopping between them I couldn't call him names though he was so cute

This is interesting Beryl. I'm looking into this one but will not be back until Sunday evening.

Its a 'warbler' by the way......but what?

The only one I have found that sort of colour is very rare So ti won't be that one
This looks like it hasn't quite reached adult hood yet

A photographic image has deceived us here Beryl......it can only be a Chiffchaff.

OK. I'll go with that . there are a lot of them here and it could just have blended in with it's surroundings

OK so it's not going into the forum Beryl, but it was an interesting contribution because it doesn't really look like an average Chiffchaff does it? So the camera does lie on occasions, but it really cannot be anything else and it was an interesting exercise working out what it was.

No. The camera wasn't lying Pete. I saw the bird my self and thought at first it was a Goldcrest. I never for one minute thought it was a Chiffchaff because of it's colour. It is as I saw it without the camera

Don't want to do anything with this or any other image on this website, but can I take a copy of this please Beryl as it intrigues me. I want to ask questions (no names) on another webtite of thats OK with you Beryl.

Yes The best onse might be the two in the second post down All I have done is to use the unsharp mask. Haven't enhanced them in any other way
It just has too much green and blue on the wings and also not much bigger than the Golcrest . much smaller that the Chiffchaff but again could be a youngster
