Yuk, I can't stand them, but well spotted anyway. When we lived in Africa the sound of grasshoppers were all we could hear once it had gone dark.

I would agree with you there Rolf. It was in fairly long grass along the estuary. Have corrected the name in the title.Thank you

I don't mind them Babs I used to cup my hand in front of them and they would leap right into it .
