    They are fairly small with a large wingspan Took loads of photos but very difficult to get a good focus whilst it is hovering against the wind.

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Well spotted and good action pics Beryl. I saw quite a few Kestrals up in Scotland and each time I saw them they were having a set to with either one or two hooded crows, very interesting to watch
