    I didn't know they were on the amber list either just found out today. I just rally around some time doing research and looking for the Latin names And found it on the RSPB site

    I too am surprised about the amber listed Cormorant Beryl, but your word is good enough for me.

    I like to do a bit of research on some birds I don't know much about and according to the RSPB they are Amber listed. I like them they amuse me when watching them

    Yes, this is the bird you saw me mention on another thread, which can 'down' a Fluke the size of a dinner plate. I've watched them on countless occasions, they truly amaze me.

    Yes . I have video of one doing a series of shallow dives all the way down the estuary.The fish must have been near the surface, they often are as one can watch the gulls ploughing and skimming now and then
    I didn't uopload it . I may dig it out some time and upload it for interest
