Now then, this female blackbird I think looks really cute but I suspect all is not well due to the out of place feathers, do you think this is the case........................ Or do you think it just likes the scrufy look.gif "Big Grin")
Problems here Babs. Goodness knows what it is about the feathering but the poor creature has a deformed beak which is crossed at the point.

Well spotted Pete, I hadn't noticed in the pic, I have a male blackbird too who's beak is constantly open but he does get by and seems to eat okay.Originally Posted by Merlin

Well, nothing to do with moulting as birds don't moult with such severity and is a more slower process. Its a bit of a puzzle this one Babs.
