Here is a black bird sunbathing. I expect she has just reared about 6 youngsters and needs a jolly good rest.
No she's not ill or as bedraggled as you may think at first glance, the next photo show you she is perfectly ok. when I a proched her she took off toe the nearest branch and look how well she is. Yes it is the same bird
This is quite a common thing I have seen quite a few do this including Robins
