    Probably another Dunnock
    Another Dunnock. This is a very j=young bird and I traipsed through three or more inches of muddy footpath for this one . right up to my ankles and the mud nearly claimed my shoes

    Looks more like a juvenile Robin, given the ring around the eye, but it is pretty well obscured.

    Yes. You may well be right.
    I didn't think of a Robin I just kept sinking and the bird kept moving and I ended up with a clear photo of his rear end
