    I trecked abou 7 miles today up to the cliff tops and and what a treck my arms and legs are lacerated from nettles and long grass some thing stung my neck but I enjoyed it and I didn't get bitten by a snake. That can be unpleasant. Even by a grass snake
    I found a few butterflies.Here ar three of them

    Speckel Wood.......Red Admiral....and a Large White
    Pararge aegeria. .Vanessa atalanta .Pieris brassicae

    Very nice trio. I particularly like the Speckled wood - it is a lovely angle, very photogenic. Thanks for the piccies, beautiful. I just looked the Speckled Wood up and apparently they don't feed on nectar, they use the sugary stuff left by aphids. Yum!!

    But, I had been wondering about you, and now we know that you enjoy getting bitten on the neck, well...

    I was a little confused when I saw the date of this thread Beryl (16 June 2007) until I realised you must have decided to respond to it again this evening (3 May 2008). They really 'jumped' on your comment 'something stung my neck but I enjoyed it' didn't they. Did bring an always welcomed smile to my face though.

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.
