This is a male Orange Tip white butterfly
Captured on an Exeter nature path.
This shows the Orange tip on the upper wing and the intricate patterning on the hind wing
Oh that's a cracker Beryl, lovely capture.
Thank you Rolf.
I climbed up a steep bank and got my feet all tangled in brambles and the nettles were up to waist and I was thinking got to get nearer and I thought I'll worry about how I'm going to climb down when I get the perfect shot.
I got down in one piece ( luckily no one about). What a carry on
Well worth the effort Beryl, in particular showing the fine pattern of the under-wing which I've never witnessed in real life......nice one!
Pete.
Thank you .Pete.
I have a few stings and grazes but yes I think it was worth it
Here's one I captured this morning, unfortunately he stayed with wings open pretty much all of the time.
That is a beauty. Nice back ground too
People say I am lucky too get a shot with the wings open so you have done well there Rolf. They do usually close them.
