Orange tip - Anthocharis cardamines

Whilst out in Exeter on nature path I came across a female Orange tip butterfly and then............half an hour later the male Orange tip Butterfly
Three poses from the female but only one pose by the male
Th female had dark tipped wings as apposed to the male having more beauty and lovely orange tips

Beryl, a nice series of pics. But you said nothing about the one including the 'insect' which is pretty good. An image you often can't achieve intentionally, but often do unintentionally......nice one.

I meant to say one has a hover fly waiting in turn.In fact the Hover fly is more in focus in that shot than the butterfly

Yes, true about the 'fly' more in focus than the butterfly Beryl, but lets say you took a photograph of a Hoverfly the other day with an Orange Tip in the background. It then becomes the perfect shot of the 'fly'......well done.

Quite honestly I was thinking at the time " Oh look there is a hover fly as well " so with that I probably did Focus on the fly
