Captured today by the exmouth brook . most unusual as they are more inclined to be found in forests. The last take was much further away so isn't quite so clear

I have never seen it befor either. Only pictures and it normally lives in forests according to the RSPB info
Well I think generally broadleaved woodland and parkland.
excellent spot beryl. i love these little birds. as rolf quite rightly says, they are normally found in mature, deciduous woodland. it will be on passage through your 'neck of the woods' . always a lovey bird to see
Delighted to see you had Pied Flycatcher Beryl. Four splendid images and not an easy bird to find, though if you visit traditional sites that's probably not the case. I'm hoping to find some this summer in an area reasonably close to me but as I say not your 'two a penny' bird this one. Andy is probably right in saying a bird on passage but I personally wouldn't know the status of this species in your area.

No. This was just the local park by the brook. I don't know where it normally habits , I just read what is said in the RSPB bird book. I have never seen one before and I spend ages by the brook.

Yes I wondered all the way home what had I captured. I was really pleased also it's a first for the site as well
