    Default Mallards tackling a warterfall

    Why these ducks had to climb up the fall I really don't know. when they could have flown. There were three all together. How ever only one went all the way, then the silly birds went down again.
    These are the complete frames to see the fall, so the ducks look small.

    I've always had an interest in bird behaviour Beryl, an offshoot of the real thing and something I have a notebook full of. I can honestly say this is something I've never seen before and is worthy of note. Think you may have witnessed a new phenomenon here Beryl.

    Why did three Mallards do this?......I'm intrigued.

    I just stood there and watched three started the climb and one stopped of almost mediately. Two as you can see carried oh, Half way up, the second had had enough and the third duck which was in mid stream (Fast running water) continued to the top then walked all the way down again. Mallards are a bit silly at times and never fail to amuse me.
