I captured this little chap in a wooed area of the nature walk. I'm not sure if he is a Chiffchaff or a warbler of some sort. There was no chiffchaff sound any where to be heard but warbling sort of sounds and Gold and Green finch twittering and grinding. But I really don't know my Chiffchaffs form my Warblers and he just may have chosen to be quiet.

Pretty certain that's a Chiffchaff Beryl.

Not going to get in too deep on this one Chocky. I brightened my monitor to view this better and it is certainly a 'warbler' and too early for Willow Warbler so must be Chiffchaff....but aren't its legs 'pinkish'?

I'm off to do some research on this Chocky.

I'm not going to argue as I am not familiar with these little bird unless I here them . but remember the Southwest is the warmest part of Britain and every thing starts earlier down here

I don't know about the legs but in my RSPB book the Wood Warbler has pinkish legs , the Ciffchaff has blackish legs and the willow warbler has pail yellowy brown legs.

He's a Chiffchaff. His legs are definitely black in this photo. I have lightened it a bit but more
