I think this is a female Stonechat but I maybe wrong.
The pale throat make me think it is.
Sorry it's not a good picture
Could well be Chocky, but not enough detail for me.
I know. I only took of the shadows I haven't highlighted it. I was a very dull day It's the pale under the beak that makes me think so and the colour of his front.
Here is the other pic But it is much the same
it's a dunnock, chocky, with its feathers looking a bit ruffled
Oh right . Thanks Andy
Undoubtably and without question a female Stonechat Chocky. Im delighted to tell you this is my very first posting on the website not to mention the Stonechat is my 'favourite' passerine which I have been studying seriously now for 10 years but more on that in the future.
Regards
Pete Woodruff.
Thank you Pete.
I wasn't sure. We have a few Stonechats on the site . Rolf and I met up and went to Yateley Park and took some nice captures of male and female Stonechats. Nice little birds
Just to double check this is the same bird as in 'which pipit please' isn't it?
Regards....again!
Pete
Yes. I thought it was a Pipit because we have Meadow Pipits along the estuary . I wasn amased to find it was a Stonechat , I could see it afterwards It might be .the same bird , it was a shotrt distance from the first one
