This is the core of the apple I was eating last night.

Yesterday the core went to the blackbird, but one of the young squirrels got this one.

They eat quite a varaity of things. I usually take peanuts for ths squirrels and wild bird seed for the birds but the squirrels eat the seed as well.
Maybe I will take some small apples

At my sister's place in France, the cider apple orchard is a feasting paradise for the medium sized birds in Autumn and Winter, so a chopped up apple core is always welcomed.

I hope the apple are not over ripe. They can get a little tipsy.
I have a film where some monkies gorged them selve on over ripe apples and it is so funny they got absolutely sloshed.
It's amd old film called Beautiful People. Wildlife of course
