These Avocets were very obliging and came very close to the edge of the estuary banks. I was up on the platform at Bowling green marsh Topsham. This is another part of the Exe estuary nature reserve. closer to Exeter.
These birds are quite fascinating to watch as hey sort of skim the mud with their beaks from side to side.
