Looks like it might be a female tufted duck but can't be sure. Was it a free duck?
The red eye is confusing, perhaps it's a cross between a Pochard and Tufted Duck.
I was looking at that side of it too Rolf. I can't find a duck with a white-ish beak part from the female tufted or maybe the female Scaup and red Eyes, though Mallards ducks have red eyes but not that vivid
Not sure that the beak is as white as it looks, as it has blown.
Yes . Come to think of it it does. I have to admit I love ducks as you well know But I have never seen one with a white bill I have to admit.But those eyes are so vivid. I really don't know
Hi all, its not a native duck that I know and its a free duck. Slimbridge have ducks drop in from all over the place, even from Soutn America.
Bit like Dawlish . They have Chinese geese Black swans and other geese and ducks from all over the world there too.
