Little Gull - Hydrocoloeus minutus ?
Is it a Manx Sheerwater - Puffinus Puffinus?
LOL, did help a little, but you still have to know what bird group to look in.;)
So, what could this be ?? :)
Chinstrap Penguin - Pygoscelis antarcticus ?
Looks like a Guillemot, Uria aalge.:)
Your probably right Rolf.:)
They look so much like penguins . This one looks to be in his winter coat
I think you'll find they are one and the same bird. Just has two names to add to confusion

European Roller, Coracias garrulus
A very rare bird in our neck of the woods, probably pretty unusual in yours as well. I think it's a Roller - Coracias garrulus, looks a little like our Jay, Garrulus glandarius
Two post at the same time, with the same answer
Blåkråka European Roller Coracias garrulus
No, not that common but still they are visiting us :)
Here is a special brand :)
Is it a bean goose - Anser fabalis ?
No, it is not an Anser family member :)
Ah, lightened the photo slightly, looks like the Brent Goose - Branta bernicla, or more possibly hrota/nugricans a sub-species.
Hmm, that´s very close to cheating :)
Svartbukig prutgås Black Brant Branta bernicla nigricans
but, still - well done Rolf
LOL, it's called using all means at my disposal Cris. :-rofl
It's called iniciative.
Well done Rolf
So, this picture needs no working with :)
Well this one looks like a Wigeon - Anas penelope, apart from the whit behind the beak.
It is a Widgeon all right but not Penelope :)
OK.:) Only one other that I know of, American Wigeon Anas americana. :)
Well, it is from the American side of the world but not America :-rofl
We get American an Eurasion Wigeons here the Amarican Wigeon have a teal stipe on the head
Eurasian Wigeons don't
Is it: American Wigeon (also American Widgeon or Baldpate), Anas americana ?
N, Rolf suggested that but still No !
So he did. I didn't see that bit :bang:
Is it then the :Chilöe Wigeon - Anas sibilatrix ?
:acclaim:
I don't thinkwe have them here but we certainly have two different types of Wigeon. You have to really look though as they look similar apart from one having a tiel stip on the side of his head and a bit lighter
