No, I think you'll find noddy was BBC and still running. :)
So it was actually a puppet show.
well it wasn't the Clangers.( I love the Clangers, I have one) it wasn't Mr spoon. it wasn't Bag pus ( I have all the episodes to that)
I think they all had presenters and were later.
Having to do a process of elimination here.
I just can't think of any puppet shows in the late 50s
There were a couple of them on ITV and the original producers went on to bigger and better things. :)
Ok Well I'll have to sleep on it.
It's a little early for me so I have no idea - the only other puppet name I can think of is Twizzle.
And your thought would be right, did you get that because of the stretch clue? :)
Twizzle it was, originally made by Gerry anderson. :)
I never watched Twizzel. I have heard of it. I think the first Gerry Anderson I watched was Super Cars.
Ok. Next please ?
Actually, all I reall know of Twizzle is the name (with a vague picture in my head), and since the only other name I could remember was 'Torchy', and that definitely didn't fit with your clue is was a pure guess!!
How did twizzel fit the clue ?
The clue was stretch, this was what made Twizzle special, he could Twizzle (stretch) his arms and legs. :)
New Mystery Theme
Mystery TV Theme Tune 111
Yes well. We all knew that didn't we.? :conf44:
It could be Jason King ?
I know it's not Department S
Ooh that's familiar... drama certainly.
...In fact I know that it was something that I really enjoyed... just have to stir the old greay cells a bit first. I also loved the music as much as the programme.
Hmmmm. Touch of john Barry there.
The Adventurer ?
Nope, not the adventurer and not Barry. :)
Vendetta ?
Nope, don't know that one. :)
It's a BBC TV series. John Barry's music. May not even be J B
I's on an LP right beside me.
Just a guess. I can't be bothered to play it , that would be cheating. Lol
Back to the drawing board.
It is familiar so one of us will get it...............Eventually
Could it be O S S.
No, not as old as that.
He he. I'm trying
Nero Wolf?
No, not that one either.
Time for a clue perhaps?
Yes please? :D
OK, one of the characters had no friends. :)
Lone ranger?
No. That was the overture to William Tell
Well it has to be lone some thing
The em that chap he was always running .
em the Harry O bloke. David Jensen fugative
The Fugitive ?
Nope, Richard Kimble made lots of friends along the way. :)
Oh alright then.
Well was it serious or UK or US ?
Serious, UK. :)
And by the way, a cracking series, perhaps a landmark for its genre. :)
The Invisible Man ?
No, not quite as old. :)
Randle and Hopkirk Deceased ?
Both of them had friends, so did all of the other people in the series. ;)
No Can't be that was a higher pitch on a deferent instrument.
I don't know :( :014:
So we have a serious UK drama series, with one of the characters who has no friends, add to it that one of the characters from later in the series is now in Emmerdale. :)
I don't watch Emmerdale or any of the soaps :014:
I'm not doing very well am I :-hide
OK, the opening title scene involved a swinging light bulb and that's the last clue.
Oh I remember that........................vaguely
Burks Law ?
No, it was serious. :-lmao
