Yes but not seen one yet but fingers crossed one day hopefully Beryl. They really are 'ivory' in summer plumage.
Pete.
It's the patterning on the wing. I looked in my encyclopaedia of birds. It doesn't have every bird and the one I put had similar and was nice too but the wrong one. I looked up yours and it's a beautiful bird:-santa1
Yes, like I said it is very seldome seen up here in Sweden, but this one seems to be staying here so, perhaps, they will take a trip over to UK some day.

Arctic Redpoll - Carduelis hornemanni exilipes ?
I do believe you have it spot on Beryl. :-hoho
I had seen it in my encyclopedia looking at the Pipits and funnily enough remembered. I hope it is right can't be 100% :-snowhead
You could be right on this one Beryl and I'm certainly not going to suggest you may not be. That said the Redpoll is a difficult one and Im' not 100% sure this individual is pale enough for 'arctic' but I'm leaving it as......your guess is as good as mine Beryl. If it turns out you are correct then well done.
Pete.
Well we will have to wait and see :-photo
Sorry for the late answers:-cthumb been busy for a while
Well, Chocky it is not quite correct, the Carduelis is OK but not the rest.
