Excellent video. :)
Although there is more colour around the eye than normal, I think it could be a Red-footed Falcon, Falco vespertinus.
Yes it is
Aftonfalk in Swedish
Good finding
Interesting bird! (You are such a swot, Rolf!:D)
A new Picture
Little Stint - Calidris minuta?
Well done
Småsnäppa in Swedish :D
Whoopee! Got one at last!:-excited
and, of course, a new one :D
Looks to be a male Hen Harrier, Circus cyaneus.
I agree, Rolf! (Just couldn't access RSPB page for Latin name last time.... :()
I am afraid I must disagree with You two :D
Any clues then?
Circus cyaneus Hen harrier? that is a shot in the dark..
That's what Rolf guessed and I agreed, Billy, but Crister says it's not.... :(
Those birds are (really) look-a-like sometimes. HINT It is a evening pray bird :D
Well the last shot looks like a Red-footed Falcon Cris, not the same bird as the first photo.
I admitt that the first Picture was no good, really A loong way to the target using a big zoom
StäpphökCircus macrourus
Problem was that I had all of that bird stuff at work and I had a few Days of rest.
So, a mixup happened (again) even the Sun has it´s spots
Anyway, time for a new bird
Fresh in my mind at the moment having just seen a cousin, the Red-backed, this one looks like a Great Grey Shrike, Lanius excubitor. :)
Popular bird, this one. Has Three names
The Great Grey Shrike, Northern Grey Shrike, or Northern Shrike is a large songbird species in the shrike family.
Well done  Rolf
Come Monday, come new Q´s :)
It looks like a Wagtail, but I'm guessing Water Pipit - Anthus spinoletta :conf40:
Sorry :014:, next ! :D
OK. :( You enjoy saying that, don't you?
I've looked through Pipits, Wagtails and Larks, but cannot find anything like that pretty bird..
Clue, please!:)
It looks like a first season Citrine wagtail juvenile, but I've not seen a picture of one with so little colour, Motacilla citreola.
Yes it is ! :D
Citronärla Motacilla citreola
Well done
OK, OK! So I am beaten by The Swot again!:D
Well done, Rolf! Just looked up pics of that bird - lovely!
What confused me was the absence of a normal Wagtail dark patch under its beak.
We live and learn!
Let us live and learn by this pic, then ;)
Barred Honey Buzzard - Pernis celebensis ? :)
Well done !
Bivråk Pernis apivorus
Good finding
A Friday teaser
This is a difficult one, first thought of Whinchat, but think it may be a first winter Bluethroat Luscinia svecica.
Yes it is !
Well done
Blåhake Luscinia svecica
Blue chin (Swedish!!):-doh
This could be a hard nut ?
Not so sure, very distinctive, looks very much like a Småfläckig sumphöna, Porzana porzana, not that I've seen one though. :)
And what is its common name in English?:D
(That was sneaky, Crister!:conf40:)
He's getting very sneaky Catherine, I'd love to see a Spotted Crake and Corn Crake, have obviously seen Moorhens and Coots, plus the odd Water Rail here and there, but there are some interesting members of that family.
Here is a new "hard nut" to crack
